Seda Hotel BGC

Photo of Seda Hotel BGC from their official website.

The boyfriend (Paolo) and I celebrated our 9th anniversary last August 1, 2013. It has always been a yearly tradition for us to take a break from work, school, etc. and to just travel and enjoy each other's company. Last year we went to Bangkok where we stayed in Baan K Residence, a beautiful boutique hotel near Lumphini MRT station. This year however, since we're both on travel hiatus we decided to just have a 'staycation' somewhere within (my hometown) Taguig City.

In case you didn't know, Bonifacio Global City (formerly known as Fort Bonifacio) Taguig is one of the fastest growing cities in the Philippines where new corporate offices, high-end hotels, residences and shopping malls can be found. It is definitely one of the coolest and hippest places to be if you have plans of visiting the Philippines. Let me know if you're coming and I'd gladly give you a tour around the area. ;)

Anyway, moving on. So yes, we spent our weekend in one of the newest hotels in BGC which is roughly 30-45 mins. (depending on the traffic) away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Seda Hotel is located right smack in the middle of Taguig CBD and is walking distance away from shopping areas like the newly opened SM Aura Premier, Market! Market!, Serendra,  Bonifacio High Street and  Bonifacio High Street Central.

We stayed in their deluxe room. Shabby chic! :)

King size beds or two twin beds are both available for deluxe rooms.

Had no problems with the bathroom. It's soo clean I probably wouldn't mind sleeping there if ever I'm drunk or something. Haha.

One of the things I love in hotels in the Philippines is the room space. Ours have a floor area of 30 sq m so it was really spacious. The room features a 40-inch LED HDTV, mini-bar, coffee and tea making facilities, cabinet with in-room safe and an executive desk.

Pardon my ignorance but it was actually my first time to see a media panel that's not directly connected to the TV. Haha. Looks so neat noh? I'll definitely do something like that for my future home.

There are 2 phones inside our room and the one in the executive desk features an ipod dock.

There's also a mirror on the bathroom door for people like me who loves full body selfie photos.

Another selfie but this time with my lovey. ❤ ❤ ❤
Off topic: I finally returned Paolo's Fuji X100 and I'm back to using my good old Panasonic Lumix LX5.

Included in our overnight stay was a buffet breakfast at Misto on the ground floor near the lobby.

Salad Station

Assorted breads and kakanin (native filipino delicacies). The croissant tastes good! :) Reminded me of the ones I had in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Choices were very limited compared to bigger hotels but at least the food tastes good. They also have a sushi bar! Nom! :)

Seda offers free WiFi for guests but just in case the signal in your room is weak (like ours in room 401) then I assume you may use the iMacs near the hotel lobby. Didn't get to try it 'coz I have unlimited data/internet on my mobile phone.

Now I know how it feels to live inside BGC, super relax environment! Na-inspire ako to work hard so that I could afford to get my own unit there in the near future. Libre mangarap! Think positive! Hehe. Loved our stay with Seda and I definitely recommend it as your next hotel stop in the Philippines. :)
