Momo Beach House

Bohol is one of those provinces in the Philippines that I've been wanting to visit for quite some time now and I'm glad I finally did! :) Took advantage of the points I earned with my GetGo card from Cebu Pacific and paid only ₱700 for round trip tickets to Tagbilaran from Manila. I flew solo once more, taking advantage because this might be the last time I get to do it while I'm still single. ;)

Remember that time I attended the Asia Premium Travel Mart back in June? I approached one of the booths there, Momo Beach House, and asked for off-peak rates for a solo traveler. To make me sound more legit I gave them my card and introduced myself as a travel blogger. Later that afternoon I was surprised to get a quote from them that I honestly couldn't resist!

Fast forward to the end of July I arrived in Tagbilaran and checked-in at Momo Beach House.

This is the common area where guests can hang out and eat. I love how it feels very cozy and homey.

Here's the pool overlooking the sea. :) If I'm not mistaken this used to be a surf resort before.

I stayed in a standard/deluxe room good for two. My only complaint is that wifi connection is bad inside my room, as well as 3G/LTE for mobile, which was understandable. I mean, who has time to work when you're on vacation? LOL. At least I had cable tv for entertainment.

The bathroom was clean and provided the all the toiletries you need. :)

Kayak and paddle boards are available to use at no extra charge.

But if you're feeling extra lazy you can just lounge around at the beach where you get an awesome view of the calm sea.

Breakfast was great! They serve ala carte meals with coffee or hot chocolate.

My only issue with food so far is that it badly needs improvement, especially in taste and styling. I remember ordering this shrimp pasta for dinner and it tasted blah. :( There's no restaurant or nearby grocery in this side of Panglao Island so you better bring whatever stuff you need like chips, drinks, etc.

If I remember correctly I paid ₱10,500 for my 4 days 3 night stay in Momo Beach House. It includes transfers, daily breakfast, one-time dinner, welcome drinks and government taxes. The rate was good for two even if I was traveling solo. Not bad right? ;)

Moving on, I really enjoyed my stay here. It's quiet and there were less than 10 guests during my stay. Employees were very friendly too which made my stay feel even more at home. :) I definitely recommend this hotel if you want to have a nice and quiet vacation on your own or with the family.
