Ipil Suites, El Nido

I asked around friends who've been to El Nido, Palawan to recommend a nice hotel. El Nido Resorts would have to be the best option if you don't mind staying on an island and of course paying a minimum of $500 per person, per night. But then Palawan is all about going on an adventure like island hopping for example.

So from Puerto Princesa, we hopped on a private van and traveled around 6 hours to get to El Nido. I highly recommend Camarih Palawan if you're looking for a shuttle service going to El Nido. Their service roundtrip rate is ₱9,000 (Puerto Princesa to El Nido).

Ipil Suites is located right smack in the middle of El Nido town proper.

I booked with Agoda since they offer a bit of discount. We got a family suite for a group of 4 and specifically stayed at room 406:

Room 406 is basically a deluxe room that I wasn't really expecting to stay at.

The room was small for a (literally) big family of 4.

I had to sleep on a makeshift loft located on top of the master's bed, definitely not recommended for old travelers. I'm only twenty something yet I struggled to go up and down the damn stairs. It is hazardous, especially to the clumsy ones. Good thing my sister decided to stay in the other room with her friends or else we'll have a harder time moving around.

Toilet and bathroom are spacious but then had second thoughts on using their towels. Towels look overused, konting babad pa sa Zonrox please! It's either they need to look for another and better laundromat OR replace them with new ones. I know you get what I mean...

Despite all the red flags, I did not complain. We just literally got what we paid for. It's not like we're gonna stay inside the room for 4 days straight anyway. Our total bill for a 4 days 3 nights stay was around ₱13,100 with breakfast for 4.

I like that they served different kinds of food each day, at least nakabawi ng konti dahil buffet! :)

Ipil Suites also offer tours around El Nido but I'll be blogging about that in another post. Do take note that tourists are required to pay the environmental fee of ₱250 per pax (valid for 10 days), which you can pay at the hotel lobby.
