Fine City of Singapore

First of all, I would like to thank Asiatavel.com for giving me a chance to share my journey with you guys! Hope you’ll enjoy reading my travel posts. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to leave a comment and I will try all my best to answer them. Cheers! ;)
Finally, after almost 5 years I am back in the fine city of Singapore. It's really been a while but I'm glad to be back and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new things that Singapore has to offer!
We arrived in SG last April 27, 2012 via Cebu Pacific and stayed in Somerset Liang Court near Clarke Quay. Our flight got delayed so plans of eating out for dinner didn't pushed through, good thing there's a 24-hour MCDonalds near the area.

I somewhat enjoyed the McDonalds seaweed shaker fries. It kinda tastes like our local snack/junkfood, Snaku. Available only in Singapore (I think).
The next day, decided to meet my friends staying somewhere near Orchard. Our agenda was to bring Paolo (the boyfriend) in Merlion Park (he's a first timer) and also to check out the Titanic and Andy Warhol exhibit in the ArtScience Museum in Marina Bay Sands.

All smiles! :D Here’s Ritz, Paolo and Faye while waiting for the MRT.

Joined the gang as we pose with the Merlion.

glad we’re able to squeeze in a few hours to check out the exhibit.

Photos were strictly not allowed inside so we had no choice but to get this souvenir photo from the replica of the Titanic’s grand staircase.
We finished around 2:00PM and realized we haven’t had our lunch. It was a hot day so we gotta ditch plans of eating authentic Singaporean food in hawker stalls. Instead, we had lunch in the food court at the lower ground floor of the Marina Bay Shops where we also met the rest of the fambam.

There’s my mom, dad and aunt. Can’t believe my sister shopped without me! :P
After walking almost the whole day, we went to Marina Mandarin hotel to meet my cousin as well as get some rest before heading to the Night Safari. For this tour, we booked tickets in advance via Asiatravel.com. They provided hotel transfers so we had no problems going to the area. Be sure to be at the lobby of your hotel during the designated time of pick-up ‘coz these guys arrive on the dot! ;)

That’s me posing with the Asiatravel.com bus while waiting for other tour mates to arrive. :)

During the trip, our tour guide (sorry I forgot his name) gave us a brief history about the safari and the animals in it.

Meet my cousin Jay and his friend Philip. They flew in from Japan and Manila a day after our arrival.

It’s a weekend so expect for long lines in the tram ride and creatures of the night show.

Sorry for this crappy shot. I tried my best to capture nice photos of the animals but then my camera failed to do so. Haha.
We weren’t able to catch the creatures of night show due to limited time so we just had dinner while waiting for the 9:45pm meeting time with our tour guide. Oh well, there’s always a next time! :) That’s it for now. Stay tuned for my next Singapore update!
P.S. Good news! Asiatravel.com and I will be giving away SGD20 vouchers whenever you book with Asiatravel.com! ;) Click here!
