Sky Ranch Tagaytay

Computer graphic/sketch of Sky Ranch from SM Land.

Want to see something new in Tagaytay? Then visit Sky Ranch! ;) It's a leisure park developed by SM with a mini amusement park for the kids and kids at heart. I'm glad that SM decided to retain the horseback riding activity that used to occupy that area beside Taal Vista Hotel.

Please take note that there's an entrance fee which I really think is not that necessary but since it's a business, someone has to make profit after investing right? And oh, they charge for parking too! Bummer.

Here are the ticket prices PER RIDE. Seriously SM, some may not afford to pay for all that. Why not charge on a per person basis like other theme parks do?

If I may suggest, you can charge let's say Php300 for kids and Php500 for adults. That rate is good for one time use/pass per ride. For those who want to get an "unlimited pass", you could probably charge more like Php700-1,000. Did I make any sense or you guys already get my point? Haha. Enough about pricing. Moving on...

Fun Fact: Did you know I haven't tried horseback riding my whole life?! Not that I'm scared of horses. I just feel like I may be too heavy for them to carry me behind their backs. I don't want to cause them pain and suffering. Lol.

If you're like me and you don't want to be a "burden" to the horses, try the carousel. ;)

Roller coaster for the kids! :) How I wish they built a bigger one for us adults. We didn't try it 'coz it seemed pretty boring. The ride lasts for like 1-2 minutes. Zzzzzz.

The Sky Eye. It has got to be the main attraction of Sky Ranch. ;)

From the Sky Eye, you get a birds-eye view of Tagaytay, Taal Volcano and the surrounding provinces of Laguna and Batangas.

There's also Super Viking for thrill seekers and brave ones. I took the photo from the Sky Eye since I'm scared of heights and have no plans of ever trying this ride.

They have food stalls and restaurants (still under construction) in the park so you don't have to leave just in case you guys get hungry.

SM also provided gazebo's located along the ridge. Not sure if you can bring food from the outside though. And see that metal/steel frames at the back? I think they're planning to add zip lines. :)

At least there's something new to look forward to whenever friends/families decide to go to Tagaytay. :) It's 1-2 hours away from Manila by car.. depending on the traffic. Here's a location map provided by SM.

Directions: From SLEX, take the Sta. Rosa exit. Turn right onto Tagaytay-Calamba Road and from there you'll reach Tagaytay. Turn right and go straight 'til you see the Sky Ranch on your left. :)

Trip to Tagaytay will not be complete without a selfie with the smallest volcano (Taal) in the world! ;)

    1. Hi Martina!

The last time I went to SkyRanch there weren't any restos open but I'm sure they're open now. If not, you always have the option to eat outside SkyRanch since there are a lot of restos in Tagaytay. ;)

  17. Hi can we bring our own snacks in here? We're a big family so planning to lessen our gastos sa pagkain much better if magbaon? thank you!

    1. I'm not exactly sure if you can, I think not coz they have food booths outside and inside the park itself. Better if you eat outside so you can just enjoy the rides when you get there.
